Custom Developed Twin Centerless Screw Conveyors

The project highlighted here represents a complete turnkey solution for a manufacturer of heavy equipment. Reinke & Schomann, Inc. was contracted to perform all of the work highlighted here, designing and developing twin centerless screw conveyors for installation on a large planer in a heavy equipment machine shop. Utilizing our highly developed machining techniques, ASTM A36, ASTM A572 grade 50 steel was fabricated to the precise configurations while holding a tight ±0.062” tolerance. The conveyor featured a movable baffle for the separation of two types of metals. The unit was assembled, and the integrity and accuracy of the drives and screws were tested with dry runs.
The completed part was 35’ in length, and 2 units were fabricated and shipped to the customer in Illinois after a 10 week turnaround time.
