Industrial Screw Flighting Repair

A customer in the wastewater industry contracted Reinke & Schomann Inc. to repair a screw lift pump. This large part as highlighted below was reconstructed by first removing the fighting’s worn edge, then utilizing our certified welding capabilities to create a replacement bar edge with ASTM A-36 standard steel material. The tightest tolerances of 0.125” were held throughout, and flight width measurements were taken intermittently during the process to ensure proper measurements. We were able to maintain a true and straight outside diameter for this flighting. The part was finished with a paint coating.

Finished dimensions of the screw lift pump were 60” in diameter, 46’ in length, and 9,000 lbs. in weight. 2 lift pumps were overhauled after a turnaround time of 6 weeks, and shipped to the customer in Illinois. Reinke & Schomann has been providing recognized metal craftsmanship since 1929, specializing in metal fabrication, custom screw and ribbon conveyor flights, to conveyor assemblies.
